Rasch\u00e8r Saxophone Quartet | Steffen Schorn | Roger Hanschel<\/strong> The best of two worlds\nunited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Rasch\u00e8r Saxophone\nQuartet, the queen of the classical woodwind world. meets two internationally\nleading saxophonists of improvised music: Steffen Schorn und Roger Hanschel,\nlong-time members of the Cologne Saxophone Mafia, composers, and initiators of\ncountless projects of their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Since many years\nSteffen Schorn and Roger Hanschel have searched, through collaborative\nprojects with other groups and with solo projects alike, for the\noverlapping point between classical music and jazz, having having made music\ntogether with groups like the Norwegian Wind Ensemble, \u202aEnsemble Modern, or the Auryn Quartet, to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Countless CDs have come\nout of these cooperations. In this current project with the Rasch\u00e8r Saxophone\nQuartet, this concept is now additionally, from the standpoint of \ninstrumentation, taken to a new level.
